Elly May Clampett

Greetings Gang! I had the privilege of meeting my new friend, Donna Douglas (aka Elly May Clampett of the Beverly Hillbillies) this past Saturday morning. She took time to visit with everyone, signed a few autographs. Even though she's 74 and moves a bit slower, she's still the same Elly May.

She spoke about her humble beginning in Louisiana and her career achievements prior to landing her most famous role on the Beverly Hillbillies. She gives full credit to God for her blessings as He led her through some very difficult times.

Next to Minnie Pearl, she's really a warm and down to earth person with a sincere heart of gold. Not many can claim they got a hug from Elly May, but I can. Eat your heart out guys!
